Argosian War of Principles
Wednesday, June 14, 2006, 02:25 AM - Geran Than
Started shortly after contact between the Argosan and Vesanthi races the War of Principles is the longest running and most costly engagement in known history. Both races are capable, and willing, to alter space time by manipulating the ‘Strings’ it wasn’t until a greater exchange of knowledge that they realized the fundemental differences between the two. The Vesanthi use only the Forces involved to manipulate space time, altering the very basic elements of practical existence to achieve their ends. The Argosan’s, who use the strings to manipulate base matter, view this method as both reckless and dangerous. As a result of this divergence it was decided by the Cooperative that the Vesanthi were far too dangerous to allow to exist.
The first two billion years of the war saw nearly the total eradication of the Vesanthi but at nearly the same cost to the Argosans. Though numbering in the millions at the conflicts beginning the Cooperative was down to a quarter of a million. In the years that followed the Argosan species spread out further and further relentlessly tracking down any remaining Vesanthi. With each new generation the Cooperative continues to diminish, currently comprising only 500 members. It is expected that in another two or three million years both races will be extinct.

Argosan Co-operative
Wednesday, June 14, 2006, 12:45 AM - Geran Than
While most of the Argosan Species chooses a life of nomadic research and discovery a select view of been chosen to remain on the homeworld. Their ranks comprise some of the most powerful members of Species and see to the future and prosperity of the whole. In early history, some five to six billion years ago, the Cooperative was comprised of several thousand members, covering most of the major continents of the world. It was during this period that the Argosans made contact with the Vesanthi, the race to which ‘The Traveler’ was a member. The two races found they had a great deal in common and began to exchange ideas and information.

It wasn’t long, 15 years, before the two races realized that despite their many similarities they each held a fundamentally different view of the universe. While the Vesanthi tend to view and manipulate the energy fields that comprise the galaxy, the Argosan’s view this as reckless and dangerous in the extreme. The resulting conflict became known to both as the War of Principles.

~Note... I decided ealry on in the creation of this character that he would be 'talented' and his race would be one of the oldest. After watching 'Where no one has gone before...' the other day i decided that the traveler was one of the most underdeveloped charactes in trek, and thought to create a connection.~

Geran Thann
Sunday, May 28, 2006, 01:15 AM - Geran Than

Geran Thann is the newest recruit to my ever growing crew. He towers over his shipmates, standing a full 9'6" tall, and carries himself with a catlike grace. A native of Agrosa Prime this 173 pound engineer moves with great skill born from over 100 years in fleet service. Currently working as a marine deck chief on the USS Firewall Geran is an island of calm amongst the chaos and confusion of the lower decks.
