Fun with the Kids!
Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 07:37 AM
Ever wonder why we spend so much money on those toys in the big boxes?

It isn't for the toys.. it's the BOX.

Aidan exiting the 'garage'

Matthew ... "I'll hide here, they'll never find me!"

Gotta Love kids and their imaginations!!!

Mindless Musing
Friday, May 16, 2008, 06:40 AM
Sometimes I get the feeling that someone up there is having a bad day and I'm the one that suffers. It's not like my life is terrible, mind you, it's just difficult.

I left Florida and returned to the place I call home, NJ, way back in Oct. Since then I've been trying to find a place to live that isn't going to bleed me dry.. not much luck on that front. :-(

Now the reason I left Florida was twofold.. one I really missed my own kids and grandkids... and two.. I just didn't like it there. Too Much of a jersey girl I guess. but there are days when I am almost ready to go back there. Even though I hated the heat and humidity...

I am tempted to return to Florida... or go somewhere else ... but I know I'll still have the same problems... see what I mean.. it's not horrible but it sure ain't easy:-/

Well it was one of those "once in a lifetime, Almost" Events. Waiting for Stargazer to start and running outside to look at the Lunar Eclipse.

Hear's a pic I got with my digital camera... makes me wish I had a much better camera.

Nothing like a Stargazer doin' some star gazin'*-)

Well I combined my Thursday sim with an OPEN MIC. Who says you can't do it all?
Played drums before the SIM... then Sang my 3 song set(no Christmas Songs... YET!) And then at the end of the night I sat in on the Bass for about 6 songs. I am really happy that I got that Laptop. I don't have to give up one thing I love to do another.

It's funny how some things become important to you, and you never lose that. Music, Jamming with the guys on open mic night... well since the late 90's that has become a very important part of my life. Music was always one of my loves. Ever since I can remember I've been singing or playing an instrument of some kind. Ask my kids, I would sing to them every night (Almost) while they were growing up. And each of them has some musical talent.

Now just for fun I decided to record myself playing the Bass. I'll warn you now... I am not a bass player, and I was learning the song as I went. But I don't think I did all that bad, for a N00B *-)

On the Road DAY ONE
Thursday, October 11, 2007, 07:50 AM
Well, the bus finally arrived close to 1 am (well ok, so it's actually a Motor Home) after quick load of my gear and farewell to Ku and Enki I was on the road with the band. We've made pretty good time I's about 7:30 am and we are already past Baltimore and Washington, and about 1/2 way through Virginia. We should arrive in Raleigh NC with plenty of time to get set up and sort our stuff out in the van. At the moment I am the Navigator(hmmm would that be helm or not?). HEH which means I get to sit in the front and help the driver stay awake!!

Well.. I'll be sure to upload a few pics later. So you all can see our "home on the road"

And soon we get to stop and I get to sleep!

More to come.......

Wandering Again!
Wednesday, October 10, 2007, 02:30 PM
Strange as it may seem, yes, I am off on the road again. Back on tour with Dr Chud and his crazy crew. Although this year I won't have to drive.

I'll actually be able to get some sleep, or I'll just keep blogging here LOL.

I'll be leaving tonight somewhere between 9 an 10 and we'll ride through the night. Our First stop on the Tour will be tomorrow, Oct 11, at the VOLUME II in Raleigh, NC.

Then we move on to Fayetteville and THE ROCK SHOP on the 12th.

If you want to see where the tour takes me, you can visit and view the tour page. Who knows, I might even be traveling in YOUR neck of the woods.

I'll do my beast to upload a few pics as we go and keep you posted. Ahh, the life of a ROCK-N-ROLL Roadie.... I LOVE IT!!!!

just a few thoughts
Sunday, September 16, 2007, 07:16 AM
I see I've been very lax here in the blog department. So much has happened in the past few months.. where do I start?

Well to start off with... I couldn't take the heat so I went back to New Jersey. It is where I am most comfortable, And .. it's where my children and grandchildren are. I also missed the OPEN MICs. They just don't have any down in Florida, at least not in the area I was. I would have had to drive for over an hour to get to the closest one and that was all country music. I like country music, I just don't play much of it. My first day back here, I felt like a weight had been lifted. OK so maybe only shifted a bit, cause now comes the fun of finding a new job and a new home... Can't stay with my son forever. LOL.

I finally broke down and bought a laptop. refurbished.. but still good. On Thursday I went to the Open Mic and was still able to sim.. lucky for me there was wireless access at the club :-)

I didn't tell anyone I was coming back, well, only my son knew, so it was great to see the surprise on my friends' faces when they saw me. I missed that ... good friends are hard to find!

And the reaction from my Grandson, Matthew, was priceless. I was talking to him on the phone, and had parked just down from their house. His mother tried to sneak out, but he caught her and followed her. when he saw me his eyes lit up and he ran to give me a big hug yelling "Grandma, it IS you! You're Here!" And proceeded to jump into my arms. Man, that Kid has grown.. can't let him do that too much longer. He wouldn't let go for about 5 minutes, hugging and smooching me on the cheek. I Loved every second!

Now it's back to the task of locating a home and viable income.. ahh.. so good to be back!!
