Maybe this isn't the right place to post it, but I think it needs to be said out loud:
I am disappointed with where Space Fleet is right now in the grand scheme of things. I am disappointed with our message board numbers. I'm disappointed with our recruiting. I'm disappointed with our attendance.
Overall, I'm just very disappointed. Despite my best efforts, and Margo's, I can't seem to motivate our hosts to participate. Maybe it's because they are from the "Old SFOL" era, and they just are complacent from the years of SFOL falling apart. Maybe it's because I'm a terrible leader. Maybe I don't even know the reason.
Whatever the reason is, we're all to blame. It's not just a me thing, it's not just a Margo thing. It's an all of us - members and hosts alike - thing.
I am going to spend the next month working my butt off to try and get folks to participate. To be part of the community, instead of just showing up for their sims, playing, and that being the extent of what they do.
After that, I hope things are better. If they aren't, I don't know what I'll do. I'm out of ideas.
