We're coming up quickly to the Shuni Awards for 2008! This event is when we find both people that deserve recognition for wonderful things as well as people that might be embarrassed for being known for certain things (such as the Most Clueless Host).
It is ALWAYS a fun event! Typically, it happens somewhere around August (including a week or two into July or September). This year, it looks like it'll be somewhere in the first week of September. A poll will be going up soon to find out when, exactly.

I can't believe it! There are actually people interested in Facebook! It's like...people use it or something.
Seriously, if you haven't heard, you can get 50 My Points by November 31st if you join the FSF group on Facebook. It'll be a nice place for us to get to know each other, plus a great way to advertise trivia games (and maybe other events, meet-ups, etc). Check it out!

So our last community event was in the style of Jeopardy. We had a decent turn out, though I think we could've done better. Maybe our next game will have more players!
That is, if the game show we style it after can have many players. I'm thinking it'll be limited to... maybe ten? We'll find out very, very soon. ;)

It's interesting how quickly something picks up when people are offered compensation or rewards. In this case, people now get points for blogging. It's nice seeing more and more usage of the FSF Blogs (even if I didn't do anything to help get them set up 
).
So what else can the blogs be used for, now? IC logs? RPing? More contests? I suppose there is more that these blogs could be used for than we've considered yet. My only hope is that, with the influx of users will come an influx of ideas. Ideas help not only with OOC matters, but they also give us new things to incorporate into our IC lives.
So what will you see on a blog that will reach your mind/heart? Will it be a touching survivor story? Or will it be an informative blog about blogging for My Points? Whatever it is, let's hope these blogs are used wisely and not just for point gathering.

I've been thinking of a game that everyone in the FSF could play. Our last online game was a poker tournament played via Yahoo! Games. Unfortunately, we had some connectivity problems that prevented some from playing, as well as a limit of how many open tables we had to work with. Another issue was the lack of control we had in screening players at the tables for our game.
So the site I've been on for a few months and am thinking of using is ConquerClub.com. This site offers the ability to play Risk games (like the board game) online. Because the game is written in PHP, there is no Flash involved, so all that is needed is a basic browser. The games are not intended to be played as real time (though some games do finish in one day). Most games last for weeks at a time.
Please take the time to give me feedback on this idea. Would you like to be involved with a Risk tournament in the FSF? Obviously, the reward would be My Points!

So far, I've gotten just over a dozen slogan entries. I'm surprised that I haven't seen more. Given the ease of this contest, more people should at least try.
The contest itself seems simple enough. Just think up slogans that the FSF could use when marketting. If you have a good imagination, it should be a piece of cake.
So email me those slogans! Its your ticket to easy My Points, as well as helping out the FSF with new, catchy slogans.

First off, congratulations to the winners of the FSF Blogathon! Alot of people participated, and quite a few had very interesting blogs.
Now, for those that enjoy writing, here's a question. How would you like some contest that involves the writing of stories? I think that would be even more fun to read. :)

So there is this great special on My Points for the month of October. All posts are worth double! Instead of just 10 points per 100 posts, its 20 per 100 posts! I seriously hope some people are taking advantage of this, especially those wanting such things like Shuni Bears.
Plus... we just moved to the new server. Why can't we 'break it in', so to speak? Lets get the boards active again...and have fun doing so!

All you have to do is write blog entries. For every blog entry you post on your FSF Blog, you will be entered into a random drawing for hundreds of My Points! Total point awards will be 1500 points!
- First Place Drawing: 700 points.
- Second Place Drawing: 500 points.
- Third Place Drawing: 300 points.
